Raffle:  Everyone loves the raffle because of the wonderful “finds” that appear every year.  Please donate generously – Deerhound items are preferred, followed by practical dog items.  We have some wonderful items for you but please contact Lyn Robb to donate additional items.  Contributors will receive 1/2 sheet of raffle tickets for their donations (with the purchase of one sheet.)  Raffle tickets are $1.00 each or $10.00 for 12.  Purchase now using the tickets available in this packet, or purchase tickets at the show.

Specialty Quilt Raffle:  For those of you who remember the beautiful quilts Judi Robinson made for the 2004 and 2005 Specialties, you will be excited to know Judi’s making another wonderful quilt for us this year – theme is “Puppies”.  Be sure to purchase lots of chances to win this great item.  Additionally, there will be another item for a second draw, so there’s two chances to win a great prize!  The draw will take place during the Awards Dinner.  Tickets are $5.00 each or $25.00 for 6 (1/2 sheet.)  Purchase now using the tickets available in this packet, or purchase them at the show.

A special bonus this year is a quilted wall hanging being offered by Judi, from an original photo by Ed Arnold.  This will be a color photo-on-fabric, quilted and tabbed for hanging.  This item will be offered as part of the Oral Auction.

Auction:  The Auction is our main SDCA fundraising event each year and is held during the Awards Banquet.  Participating is your way of supporting the Club and having the thrill of the “chase,” competing for some absolutely fabulous items including a specially commissioned Deerhound sculpture from Marilyn Terry and a one-of-a-kind ceramic sculpture by Alicia Smith Garlick (below).

There will be both an Oral auction and a Silent auction with many items you’ll just fall in love with.

Another part of the auction will be our Theme Baskets.  Here’s a great opportunity to purchase a basket full of amazing things, such as Coursing Items, First Aid, Deerhounds in the Movies, to name just a few.   If you would like to contribute a basket, please contact Lyn  (phone (503) 628-3448) as soon as possible.
