Supported Entry Procedures for 2009 and thereafter:

  1. An initial request for a Supported Entry will be submitted to the SDCA Secretary in writing, giving the date, the name, and the location of the show, and if possible, the judge.
  2. The Secretary will submit this request to the SDCA Board for a vote of approval.
  3. If approved, the Secretary will send the contact person a letter or e-mail, formally indicating that the SDCA supports that entry. If permission is denied, the contact person will be notified at once.
  4. A master list is maintained by the Secretary of Board-approved supported entries.
  5. After each supported entry, the contact person will be responsible for sending the actual entry count and BB winner back to the Secretary.
  6. For each subsequent year that a supported entry is planned, the contact person must send to the SDCA Secretary a letter requesting that supported entry. The Secretary will then send the letter of formal SDCA support as in Step #3 and will note the show on the master list. No Board action will be required for approval if occurring on consecutive years, without break or change.
  7. Once a year, at the Old Board Meeting, the SDCA Board will review all supported entries for attendance and future approval, and the approved list will then be published in the Claymore as part of the Secretary's column.
  8. If an approved supported entry skips a year for any reason (even if choice of show in a cluster is rotated, or the show only occurs every so many years), the approval process must start over from the beginning.
